Polish Revolution "F'ing Classy"

Hey Polish Lovers!

Today I have F'ing Classy made by Polish Revolution.
I won this polish from a giveaway they were having.

When I received the polish in the mail, it came with their business card and a nifty Polish Revolution sticker.

This polish is crazy beautiful. It's all small holographic hexagon glitter in a clear base. It is made up of different shades of purple and teal glitter. I think there are also some silver holographic glitter. To say this polish is packed with glitter is an understatement. There isn't anything to describe it's intensity.

On to what's what; Ring finger ~ 2 Coats, Middle finger ~ 1 coat over white, Ring finger ~ 1 thicker coat over black, Pinkie Finger - 1 coat over Pure Ice "Kissy Kiss".

This is a beautiful polish that you can pair with any color and it will look good.

If you would like to purchase F'ing Classy, you can do so by visiting Polish Revolution on Etsy.
A full size bottle of this beauty is $9.00

Don't forget to check out Polish Revolution on Facebook and tel her I sent ya!

I hope you enjoyed my review and swatch of F'ing Classy.

Until next time,
Love your polish.

Sick Lacquers Swatches & Review

Hey Polish Lovers!

Today I have two polishes that I am swatched and am reviewing from Sick Lacquers.
Sick Lacquers is a shop on Etsy that opened in December of 2012. It is run by Peggie and her son, Jonathan. All of their polish is handmade and 3-Free. They current have 10 pages of polish... yes, 10! And if you still can't find exactly what you're looking for, they also take requests for your very own custom polish. Their polish starts at $2.50 and goes up from there. These polishes were sent to me for review.

On the left is Itty Bitty Neon Pretty and on the right is Mysterious Ways.
Both of the polishes are crellies. They are glitter polish with a cream/jelly base. Both of these are awesome! I am a crelly fanatic, so I am very excited to review them.

First off is Itty Bitty Neon Pretty.
It is a very light pink base with purple, pink, light pink, and white glitter in varying sizes. All the glitter in this polish is hexagon shaped. It has a thicker base, but is still pretty sheer, which I like. If the base was opaque, you wouldn't be able to see the beautiful glitter.
Shown here is two coats plus top coat.

Next is Mysterious Ways.
It is almost an opaque white base with all kinds of glitter. It has so many different colors. The glitter is different sizes and looks to be mainly hexagon shaped with some squares thrown in here and there. This polish is a little thinner and dries super fast. I couldn't believe how fast it dried. This polish is great for every day. You don't have to worry if your polish will match your outfit; trust me, it will.
Shown here is two coats plus top coat.

I love and am impressed with both of these polishes. The application was stress free and very smooth. The glitter was not fussy coming out and I did not have to use my brush to place any. They both had great coverage.

If you would like to purchase either of these or check out some of their other polish, you can do it by visiting SickLacquers on Etsy.
For a mini in either of these, it is $3.50 and full size is $7.00.

They also have a Facebook page, which is Sick Lacquers.

I hope you enjoyed my review and swatches of Sick Lacquers. Go check them out; you won't be disappointed!!

Until next time,
Love your polish.

BeautyBarBaby Review

Hey Polish Lovers!

Today I have a review for you that isn't polish. I know this is a polish blog, but I think you all will really like it! What's just as good as polish?? MAKEUP!! Today is a review of BeautyBarBaby Mineral Eye Shadows! Bare with me, as this is my first makeup review.

BeautyBarBaby is a shop on Etsy that sells 100% Natural Mineral Makeup. She has eye shadow, bronzer, powder, concealer, blush, and more. All of her makeup is mineral and it is handcrafted by the shop owner, Nicole. All of it is natural with no additives, dyes, preservatives, sulfate, paraben, or fragrance.

Right now, she is having a 50% off sale!! You can get a 0.5g container of eye shadow  for only $2.75! Which is a great deal for mineral eye shadow! She currently has 219 items in her shop, which includes 188 mineral eye shadows. I had a very hard time choosing 12! I did pay for these shadows at a discounted rate for bloggers. Enough chit-chat.. let's get to it!

I received her package and couldn't wait to rip it open. I did manage to get a shot of one of the rolls prior to it being opened. They came 6 to a roll, securely packaged in bubble wrap.

Once unwrapped, the individual shadows were securely sealed to ensure no spillage during shipping. In this next photo, you can see how they are professionally sealed.

Next is each individual color in it's original jar. I had already done the swatches before taking these photos, so if some look a little low on product, that is why.

 Devil's Breath

Twinkle

Barbados

Sour Grapes

 Creep

Dazzled

Flushed

Tip Taupe

Teddy Bear

Tootsie Roll

Army Brat

Gothic Grey

All the swatches I did on my arm, in direct sunlight. All shadows were applied with a Q-Tip.

First up are the colors.
All colored swatches will be in this order from left to right:
Devil's Breath
Twinkle
Barbados
Sour Grapes
Creep
Dazzled

This photo is dry shadow on my bare arm.

This photo is dry shadow over foundation.
(I realize the photo is blurry, but it really shows the sparkle)

Last, but not least, wet shadow over foundation.
You can really tell how the shadow pops when applied wet. Not only is the color more intense when applied wet, but so is the shimmer, however, my camera refused to pick all of it up.

On to neutral colors.
All neutral colors will be in this order from left to right:
Flushed
Tip Taupe
Teddy Bear
Tootsie Roll
Army Brat
Gothic Grey

This is dry shadow on my bare arm.

Next is dry shadow over foundation.

And very last, wet shadow over foundation.

I love these shadows!! All of them have this amazing sparkle that will make you say, "Wow!" I wish photos would do them justice, but they just don't.

But that's not all!!! I had to test one of these babies out in polish.... and it did awesome!! I chose to go with Creep. It's a beautiful eggplant color with blue shimmer.

Lush Lacquer Review

Hey Polish Lovers!

Today I have 3 Lush Lacquer polishes to share with you! I am so excited that I can't contain it! I am in love with Lush. Their polishes are amazing and Karin & Lexi are two of the nicest people you will ever come in contact with. Let's get to it.

The Lush Lacquer polishes that I have are:
(from L-R)
Freckles
It's a Breeze
Chick's Rule

First up: Freckles!!!

I am in love with Freckles! I think it is my fav of these three polishes. It is a mix of small and very small hex glitter in a clear base. The colors are all neon and consist of pink, green, blue, purple, orange, and yellow. One coat is the perfect amount, but for a little more pizzazz, you can do two or more coats!

This swatch is one coat over NYC French White Tip.

Next up: It's a Breeze

Another polish I am absolutely in love with. It's a breeze is a white base with hex and circle glitter that are large, medium, small, and very small. The neon colors consist of yellow, green, and blue. There are blue holographic large and medium sized circle glitter that really sets this polish off. The base seems a little runny, but if you use a lighter coat, it dries fast and is still packed with glitter. The larger glitter are a little harder to fish out, but they are gorgeous.

This swatch is two coats.

Last, but not least: Chick's Rule

Yes, they do! This is proven with Karin and Lexi's girly polish. Chick's Rule consists of large, medium, small, and very small hex glitter. The amazing color combo is all neon: pink, purple, and orange. This is another winner. In one coat, it has just the right amount of glitter. In two coats, you won't be disappointed.

This swatch is one coat over NYC French Tip White

I couldn't be more pleased with these polishes. No wonder everyone loves Lush! They have converted me from main stream polish to indie. Indies are now my favorite.

Thank you, Lexi & Karin. You women are amazing!

If you would like to purchase Freckles, It's a Breeze, Chick's Rule, or any of Lush Lacquer's amazing polishes, you can check out their Etsy store HERE

They also have a Facebook page and could always use more fans! To check them out on Facebook, click HERE.

I hope you have enjoyed my review!

Until next time,
Love your Polish!!

Nail Art

Hey Polish Lovers!!

Today I have some nail art for you.

The first is water marbling. I haven't been very successful at water marbling in the past. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. My main problems were the polish drying to fast when I tried to pull it from the edges and my polish not spreading.

Here are a few tips and tricks:

1. If the polish is not spreading in your water (and you are using room temperature, bottled water) your polish is probably too thick. Either thin your polish down with nail polish thinner or use another polish.

2. Drop your polish close to the water. If you drop it from high up, it will either ball up on the surface or sink to the bottom.

3. Instead of pulling your polish from the very outside, go two or three lines in and pull from there. If you pull from the very outside, chances are that the polish is already dry and you will do more harm than good.

For more tips and tricks, please visit Polished By Audison: Water Marble: Tutorial, Tips, and Tricks. You can also do a search on YouTube for "Water Marbling for Beginners"

I will continue to do more water marbling in the future, now that I know what I was doing wrong. Here is my first truly successful water marble.

For my basecoat I used NYC "French White Tip". The pink polish is LA Colors "Hottie", the blue polish is LA Colors " Aquatic ", and the yellow polish is Pure Ice "Showstopper".

The other bit of nail art I have is a technique I have seen floating around, but hadn't ever attempted. It wasn't until after I saw Miss Jen Fabulous' YouTube video that I attempted it.

For my base, I used LA Colors "Hottie". The white polish is NYC "French White Tip", the black polish is Nina "Black", and the blue polish is a polish I made. I used Seche Vite for my topcoat.

Here is the tutorial for this nail art: MissJenFABULOUS: Easy Nail Art For Beginners!!! #6

If there is anything with either of these types of nail art that you don't understand or need more info on, please ask. I do not think any question is stupid. We all have to learn to do these things and if we don't ask questions, we may never know. <3

Thanks for reading!

Until next time, love your polish!

Glitter Me This Swatches

Hey Polish Lovers!

Today I have swatches & reviews of polishes that I won from Glitter Me This.
I was sent 4 glitter polishes. All of the swatches are two coats without a top coat.  Here they are!

The first polish is a gold crellie base with small gold holographic hex glitter and a few large silver hex glitter. As you can see, I only managed to get one of the larger pieces of glitter out. It is on my ring finger. I actually love this polish, though. Even without the large hex glitter. This will probably be one of my go-to polishes for the fall!

The second polish is a purple jelly base with small purple hex glitter and medium sized holographic hex glitter. The coverage is pretty good. I like this for a go-to purple glitter polish.

The third polish has a clear base with small holographic pink glitter and large holographic teal flower glitter. I really like this! Would definitely look better with something underneath, but for swatching purposes, I opted out. As you can see, it was much easier getting the large glitter out of this polish. Very cute!

Last, but not least, is a very light blue crellie base with blue and silver  holographic mini bars and purple holographic diamonds. This is another polish that would look much better with another color underneath. I do have to say, though.. it is my favorite out of the four. I absolutely love the colors together and the fact that it has a crellie base makes me happy, happy, happy!

I hope you enjoyed my swatches & review! Stay tuned for more!

Until next time, love your polish!

3 Week Review on Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil™

Hey Polish Lovers!

As some of you may know, I did the 3-Day Initial Hydration Treatment with Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil. In short, the treatment is where you remove all polish and apply Pure Nail Oil for 3 days. Every time it is absorbed, you apply more. You try your best to keep your hands out of water and just take it easy. I did the treatment July 12th through July 15th.

Here is my 3-Day review:
When I first placed the order for Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil, I knew I wasn't going to have phenomenal results. My nails were already fairly healthy looking. I didn't have a ton of damage. I got my package in the mail and almost couldn't wait to take a photo before applying. I had to smell it first thing, because so many have said the smell is divine...and it is! It almost smells of summer raspberries with a hint of citrus.. but not a strong, overpowering scent. It's "Crisp"! After my 3-Day Hydration, I am utterly amazed at my before and after photos. I honestly didn't think I would be able to tell a difference, but I can! My nails have actually grown in the last 3 days; they feel smooth and have such a shine! I am in love with it!! Thank you, Ana!!! Simply put: You're awesome!!

This is my before Pure Nail Oil and after the 3-Day Hydration Treatment:

My 3 Week Review:
I have now been using Bliss Kiss for three weeks. I can tell my nails are more flexible. I have bumped them several times and they have bounced back. Before using Pure Nail Oil, when I bumped, I broke. My cuticles and nails always look hydrated now, even when I wake up in the morning and it has been hours since I've used the oil. I have less bruising on my nails. And last but not least, my nails have grown... quick! My nails have always grown pretty fast, but not THIS fast. I am still completely in love with Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil!

After using Pure Nail Oil for 3 Weeks:

I will continue to update you from time to time.

For more information on Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil or the 3-Day Hydration Treatment, you can visit Ana's website here or her Facebook page here

If you would like to order Bliss Kiss Pure Nail Oil, you can do so by clicking either of these links:
